onShore Mail Filter User Preferences

You are now able to customize spam filter sessions per email address. Each account will utilize a custom filter set by the user. Once logged into the mail preference page, you will have three main options: sensitivity, language, and black/white list. Users are encouraged to utilize these settings to have the best email experience possible.

Open http://mail.onshore.net/filter and login with your email username/password.

In addition, when logged into webmail, there is an icon named "Spam Filter Settings".


Filter Sensitivity

Adjust how sensitive the filter is by using a scale. The filter scale has 10 options from less sensitive to more sensitive. If you feel the spam filter is not strong enough, select a stronger rule. If you feel spam filtering is too strong and you are frequently finding legitimate emails in your spam filter. Choose a lower rule for your filtering.

Language

Select all the languages you expect to receive e-mail in. Any messages received that are written in languages not checked will be considered possible spam in a foreign language.



Select multiple languages by holding "ctrl"

Black List & White List

  1. Choose an action from the menu on the left. "Black" or "White".
  2. Type the e-mail address or pattern into the field on the right.
  3. Click on the "Add Rule" button.
